Chaeyoon's SUPER COOL Blog!

Hi, my last school year’s class mates!!!!! It’s Chaeyoon who MISS you guys very much. And I  really want to tell you guys my life in Korea. Like… where do I live, that kind of stuffs.

• When I Went Back to Korea….

I maybe get down from the Airplane a week ago. First, we had to check if we had an evil stuffs or something. We spent few minutes in Airport. And when we went out from Airport, I saw my dad, grandparents, Aunt, and my cousins Euna and Euchan. But when I saw them, I thought I saw an stranger that I’ve seen somday. But there was no Soyeon and Huiyeon. I asked Euna why. Then she said, “Soyeon is preparing for Math, Language Art, Social, and Science test. And she really wants to get ALL 100 score in her test. So she said she doesn’t want to come here and meet you and play with us.” So I said “What the hack…” then I said that again. I was the only person who loved test in Canada. But in here, even my little cousin love tests. I felt little bit scary(and jealous) . I thought I might not a mathlete anymore. I went in to my Aunt’s car to go to Grandma’s house. Because we were going to have dinner party! And…while we were going to Grandma’s house, I realized….there were lots of apartments, towers, and smokes from cars. And I realized…there was NO TREES! Well actually, there was little bit of’em.

Oh! And I just saw Jacob before I go back to Korea!!!! Isn’t that so awsome?!

• My House

My house is in Seoul. Which is capital city of Korea. I’m living in old apartment which has 13 floors. And I’m living in 11th floor. My house has 3 big rooms, 1 very small room (size=bathroom), 1 kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. and I finally had my OWN room!!! I never get my own room before. I was always sharing room with my 2 sisters. But not now. And I have BED! So…why am I so exiting about havinga bed? Because, I was sleeping on carpet(kind of) in Canada. Well, I like my house. And I have an BIG air condition. Because it’s very hot in Korea. Even in winter…

• I’m planning to…

I’m going to go to my new school 6 days later. I will study better then before. Actually, I will do EVERYTHING better then before. I think I will have lots and lots of rivals. Because even my little sister get 100 score in Math, Language Art, Social, and Science. Life is hard….Oh! one important thing! I will never forget my friends, teachers, and neighbors. Which is you!  And I’m planning to take a picture of Korea, my house, and my new friends new Grade 6(Except I’m still not going to school). And put them on the Blog!

Well, it’s end fo my “In Korea…” post. I will keep my blog to meet you guys! See ya! And I miss you everybody!!!!!!!

*P.S. I think I’m no longer math-lover. Math is hard in Korea. But I still like Art and Science…

Do you guys know what does Korea’s blog looks like? It’s little bit different with this Edublog. So I want to show you guys about Korea’s popular site’s blog, Naver blog.

In Korea. There’s two kind of blog. One thing is my little own blog and another blogs are like…internet club. And that club blogs call Cafe. And please don’t click any link. Why? because I’m afraid you might not understand the Korean word and feel very dusy. Or not…

About Naver Blog Cafe

There are zillion cafe in www.naver.com, but I’ll show you  only my favorite Cafe in Korea. In that blog cafe, there are more than 50000 people . That cafe’s manager ( Who make that club ) is who draw Maple Story Comic Book. So that cafe’s name is Comic Maple Story Offline RPG Cafe. His name is Jungen Seou. And his user name is Geguli, which mean frog.  Are you wondering how to join in that Cafe? that’s really easy. First, juse create your account in naver site and click button of “cafe” and go to his cafe. And all at the bottom of that cafe, and click, Join the Cafe. Then few questions appear. answer these question. than you’ll become one of cafe’s member. Sometime if you use really bad word, Manager might kick you out from his cafe. So, be-careful. Well, is every cafe are that easy to join in? answer is No. Some cafe are not easy to join in. On locked cafe, when you click Join button, you need to wait until manager says “yes”. And in hidden cafe, you can’t join by yourself. Manager have to invite to cafe. OK, in Maple cafe, My user name is Sarong ( My kitty doll’s name ). Korea people don’t usually like to proove their name, so they make their Internet user-name. I love Maple Cafe. Everybody can post on that cafe with no allowed. If I upload my Maple picture in Cafe’s Art conner, Frog might chose my picture and make my picture in Comic book ( I was in comic one time). And we can make our own comic and book to. I love ‘em.

· We can have more then zillion users with one manager

· We can’t save our work on cafe

· We can’t comment until we join there cafe

And who’s in naver site, everybody has there own blog. We can’t have two users in blog. Only one blogger. OK ? I don’t really care about my blog I care about cafe. Because Korea people don’t really comments on blog. And I don’t like that. They usually comment on cafe. I just upload picture on my blog. Not my writing. Well, Korea’s blogs are almost same as edublog. Got it ? Oh, and here’s naver blog site and… I will not show you guys my own blog. Because there are my grade 2 art. And It’s kind of creepy for every body.

Well, these are all about Korea’s naver’s blogging. It’s different with Edublog, but it’s cool. What do you think about Naver’s cafe blog and just blog? please comment what you thinking.

I love food very much. So my mom calls me pig.

My favorite after school snack is chocolate, but my mom doesn’t buy it very often. So I can’t eat it very much. But I love something else for a snack after school..for me.

It’s just same as sushi. But it’s not call sushi. It’s my  second favorite  Korean food. What is first? well…………. maybe, rice cake? that’s such a funny name but it’s good. rice cake is not the snack. That my second favorite Korean food is call Kimbab. Kim means seaweed, and bab means rice.

Do you know how to make it? It’s really simple, but maybe there are some ingredient that are hard to get in Comox. (I live in Comox) That hard ingredient is called…..Danmuzi. Look at the picture? Danmuzi is that yellow stuff. Ha ha~

Do you know how to make them? Well, I’ll tell ya!

1.  1. Put a big flat seaweed.
2. 2. Put a rices flatly on the seaweed. 
3. 3. Now, put a long piece of ham, egg, carrot, Danmuzi on the seaweed and rice.
4.  roll it really tightly. 
5.  slich them each 1.5~2 cm. and eat them.

Well. that’s all. Try that kimbab. That’s really good. 

And… I’ll tell you one Horrible snack in Korea. Crickets are Korean people’s favorite after snack. My mom eat them and my grandma  eat ‘em too. Terrible… isn’t it?

Hi, do you know what is my Special place? 

Well, first place is….house. I like my house. because…I stay inside all day long and play computer game and play Nintendo forever!  Just stay inside! And sleep!  Umhahahaha! Well, don’t really believe that. That’s not correct (But little bit correct?).OK, my special place is…. ( count down!)

• I said It’s little bit correct. I love my house in Saturday and Sunday.
•  Everland in Korea! What is better then Disney Word… There are really lot  of funny , scary, and exciting  things. And at Summer, there are water show!
•  Butchart Garden in Victoria. I was went there one day at summer, It was really really really really really great Garden that I’ve ever seen. I want to go   Butchart Garden  again!
•  Maybe you can’t believe it… My third favorite place is school. Not because it’s studying. I can meet my friends! And if school is not start at 8:40 (It’s really early! I want to wake up at 11:30 !) and not tooooooooo much math, maybe school will be my second favorite place.

I’m in the Valley View Elementary school. It’s my favorite school that I’ve ever seen. Canada or America’s school is so better then every school I think. If you feel like” My school is too worst.” or something, then your thinking is really wrong.You’re in perfect school (or not).

When I was in the Korea’s Elementary school, I felt worst. You already saw my post, Study Really Hard. That’s not all, Some(70%) scary teachers are hit us with really big stick if we didn’t finished our homework or late. Some schools are never use our languages, Korean. They said we need to study English. But it’s never help us. I’m so lucky to I was not in the Only English School(?). I was so happy when I’m in Grade1’s 3 room. But when I was in Grade 2 and 3, my teacher was really scary. I was hit by my teacher 8 time. But I like my G4 teacher. His name is Jung Gag Bac. He’s kind, funny, and everybody like him. And me too!         
But He hit us too. But he’s not hit us about late or homework. Exapt he hit us when we killing eachother. I don’t like school very much at Korea. But I need it. ‘Cause I’m Korean. 

I always write about Korea’s bad things. But next time, I’ll write about Korea’s good things.

I want to stay in Canada forever because, I’ll miss my friends when I go bact to Korea. In Korea I need to study and I have no time to play. I don’t even have time to take a nap when I go back to Korea.
Isn’t it scary?
But of course Canadian students are studying. But I think Canada’s math or something is too easy. Except I don’t understand some English…
I can tell you math at Korea.
At kindergarten, every kindergartner’s children are study multiple like 1×1~9×9.
At grade 1, we study like..324+215.
I’m grade 6 in Canada. But I already study that grade 6’s one at when I was grade 3~4.
That’s not all.
Like… some grade 7 Korean peoples are go to High school.
I wonder how did they did that… I need to study like that when I go back to Korea.

South-Korea shares the Korean peninsula with North-Korea.
But the south has about twice as many as north.
South Korea is in southeastern Asia.
It has mountains plains,and island.
In the summer,Monsoons bring much rain.
